I’ve commented on the rise of Greyson Chance before, but I thought it would be interesting to share where his YouTube sensation lead.

That’s right, a record deal, a music video and overall stardom.

It’s amazing how the democratization of the music industry has swelled. Consumers really do control the power of industry when given the correct tools. I hope this kind of transformation continues in other arenas that need it (like car shopping and financial services to name a couple). I’m confident that when the people run the show, it will be for the better in most cases.
